Inside Leucent 3.0
A high-leucine protein bar with 3.0 g of leucine, 21 g of protein and 220 calories. Every ingredient is here to hit the leucine threshold or make the bar worth eating.
Where the 3.0 g of leucine comes from
| Source | Protein | Leucine |
|---|---|---|
| Whey protein isolate (~11% leucine) | 15 g | 1.6 g |
| Milk protein (~9.5% leucine) | 6 g | 0.5 g |
| Added L-leucine (fermented, instantised) | — | 0.9 g |
| Total per bar | 21 g | 3.0 g |
Why add free leucine instead of more protein? Reaching 3 g from whey alone would take about 28 g of protein and push the bar past 260 calories. Topping up with 0.9 g of L-leucine hits the threshold and keeps the bar at 220 kcal. The 21 g of complete dairy protein supplies all nine essential amino acids.
